經統計近 10 年(93 年至 102 年)建築物火災依用途類別區分均以獨
立住宅火災最多,集合住宅次之,以 102 年為例,獨立住宅火災 476 次
為第 1 位,占所有建築物火災之 42.9%;集合住宅火災 193 次為第 2 位,
占 17.4%(如表 1 及圖 1)。又統計 101 年及 102 年火災死亡案件中,
起火建築物類別均以獨立住宅死亡人數最多,集合住宅次之(如表 2、
圖 2 及圖 3)。調查顯示,住宅火災之死亡原因係因延遲偵知、通報及
避難為主。
Statistics over the past 10 years (2004 to 2013) reveal that occurrences of single-family
residential fires are the most common types of building fires, followed by multi-family
residential fires. In 2013, single-family residential fires were the most prevalent with 476
occasions, comprising 42.9% of all building fires; multi-family residential fires were
the second most likely with 193 occasions, constituting 17.4% of all building fires (as
shown in Table 1 and Figure 1). The 2012 and 2013 statistics on fire fatalities show that
the most fatalities in the building fire category occurred in single-family residential fires,
followed by multi-family residential fires (as shown in Table 2, Figure 2 and Figure 3).
Investigations revealed that the causes of death for residential fires are mostly related to
delayed detection, notification and evacuation.
