                  “The Volunteer Firefighters Games is a competition of extraordinary bravery, heroism,
               and brotherhood.＂On December 13th, 2014, the 10th National Volunteer Firefighters
               Games was held at the National Stadium in Kaohsiung City.  The biannual event opened to
               bustling crowds and excitement. For this year, the competition was moved to Kaohsiung.
               A total of twenty-six volunteer firefighter teams participated nationwide. The number of
               people that competed reached 1,742. Similar to the past, the competition this year featured
               5 skill events: water hose deployment, carry rescue, suit up, cross line victim rescue, and
               basic knots. All the teams were ready and eager to get into the action as they strove to win
               the highest honor for themselves! On the day of the event, the President of the Legislative
               Y uan and the Council for National Volunteer Firefighters´Association, Wang Jin-pyng,
               took time out of his busy schedule to host the start of the “carry rescue＂event, where
               he also announced the official start of the games! This year´s (2014) games encourages
               citizens to participate in this splendid competition together, and watch the athletic spirit of
               volunteer firefighters. Kaohsiung City´s volunteer firefighter team specially prepared fifty
               42 inch lcd TVs as prizes. A garden party and special snacks were also organized on the
               day of the event outside the stadium.  This event marked a joyous occasion for guests to
               come eat, have fun, and win prizes! The venue even hosted an exciting group performance
               inside for volunteer firefighters and the public to enjoy together in Kaohsiung!




               2 年一會群雄南都再聚首

                    為提升全國義勇消防人員協助防災救災

               的專業能力，以及促進各義消組織弟兄間的
               情感交流，內政部消防署特舉辦全國義勇消
               防人員競技大賽，今（103）年已邁入第10
               屆，此屆競技大賽於今（103）年12月13日
               在高雄世運主場館熱情登場。累積賽前的精

               實訓練以及絕佳的團隊默契，來自全國各地
               的義勇消防弟兄皆磨刀霍霍、蓄勢待發，再
                                                                 ◆ ◆會場外的聯歡園遊會提供消防體驗與民眾近距離互動
               次聚首於熱情南都，積極展現他們的熱情活

               力，期盼打破紀錄，奪得最高榮耀。                                共襄盛舉，共計吸引1萬5,000多人到場同
                    為讓全國參賽人員以及與會貴賓體會                           歡，場內場外皆洋溢歡樂氣氛。

               的裝備或是與可愛義消娃娃拍照互動，拉近                             演開場，展現儀隊的青春與氣勢，為會場氣
               消防單位與人民的距離進而加強人民消防安                             氛注入一股熱情活力。接續的是九天民俗技

               全知識。另外，此屆競技大賽為讓更多民眾                             藝團的隆隆鼓聲以及精彩的舞中幡，象徵文
               能到場參與，高雄市義勇消防總隊更備有50                            化與傳承的九天民俗技藝團，也代表著競技
