                                         Urban development has brought about increasing complexity in architectural
                                         usage and lifestyle changes amongst city dwellers, and with these shifts
                                         come a higher risk of fire. Consequently, the importance of firefighting
                                         equipment should not be trivialized. Such equipment could play a critical
                                         role in effectively reducing threats to lives, allowing first responders to
                                         react more quickly to changing circumstances on site, and cutting down on
                                         the response time of firefighters upon their arrival. Besides setting up fire
                                         safety equipment that is appropriate to the usage of particular buildings and
                                         venues, what is more important is that such equipment is able to be used
                                         to manage a disaster in a timely and effective manner. Only this way can
                                         lives and property be safeguarded. This is why the inspection of fire safety
                                         equipment is of paramount importance.
