              前言


                太陽能發電(Solar power)是一種能將太陽光轉換成電能的發電方法,近年來隨著各國對綠能
            的重視,台灣也同樣大力推廣太陽能發電系統,尤其是日照時數較長之中南部地區,更是大規模安裝
            於開闊的田野、池塘或海邊,而一般住宅、工廠等建築物屋頂,亦可見到為數不少的太陽能板,足見

            太陽能發電已漸漸融入民眾生活之中。
                太陽能發電普及的同時,也有不少火災案例的發生。因太陽能轉換電能含括了化學變化與能量之
            轉換,並與電能、熱能息息相關,相關之設備、系統一旦發生問題,輕則會造成故障無法使用;重則
            引發火災,甚至延燒到住宅、廠房,造成生命財產損失。
                本文將簡述太陽能光電發電系統及原理,藉由太陽能發電火災案例之探討,發現此類火災原因之
            共通點,說明使用太陽能發電之注意事項,並提供預防此類火災發生之方法。


            Solar power generation is a method of electricity generation that converts sunlight
            into electrical energy. As green energy is gaining popularity throughout the world in
            recent years, Taiwan also has been promoting solar power systems vigorously. For
            example, in central and southern regions that enjoy longer sunshine duration, solar
            power systems have been widely installed in open fields, ponds or on seashores. Many
            solar panels can also be seen on the roofs of houses and factories there, which shows
            that solar power generation has been gradually integrated into people’s lives.
            However, this popularity has unfortunately given rise to many fires, because chemical
            changes, heat, and electricity are involved in the process. Once related solar power
            systems fail to function properly, it may not only lead to inconvenience, but worse
            yet, cause a fire that may spread to neighboring houses and factories, leading to loss
            of life and property.

            Given the fact, this article will briefly describe how solar photovoltaic (PV) energy
            generation works. Furthermore, by analyzing the fires that resulted from solar
            power generation, I will point out the common cause of fires and share a couple of
            precautions to follow when solar power generation is in use.
