be examined thoroughly to make sure if they need to be rebuilt or retrofitted so they can
play their role should another disaster strike.

ccNational Disasters Prevention and Response Commission, Executive Yuan has begun
strengthening disaster prevention education & building (retrofitting) disaster shelters
since 2010. National Fire Agency took over these jobs on Dec. 15, 2010. What§s more,
in order to materialize these projects, National Fire Agency asked Graduate Institute
of Environmental Education, National Taiwan Normal University to form a task force to
help push the execution of each project, evaluate and improve the work, which include
evaluation of plans handed over by various county/city governments, on-site examination
of disaster shelters, examining the drills, picking up qualified instructors for the trainings,
compiling the teaching materials and evaluating the performance of each county/city
government.
