消防天地 Taking Preventive Measures Against Large-scale Earthquakes — a Drill on 2020 National Disaster Prevention Day

壹、前言
臺灣一直以來面對大規模震災之威脅，為強化大規模震災人命救助及災前整備工作，消防署 在今年國家防災日，辦理大規模震災消防救災動員演練，動員本島 19 縣市、13 個中央部會署、5 大電信業者、各民間團體公司，共 1,300 餘人、174 車、C130 運輸機及空勤直升機各 1 架次，完 整驗證了我國防救災能力。總統蔡英文也蒞臨現場視導，慰勉防救災人員守護國人生命安全的貢 獻與辛勞，肯定演練成效。
Taiwan has always been under the threat of large-scale earthquakes. To improve preparations and rescue effort of large- scale earthquakes, the National Fire Agency launched a drill of large-scale earthquake and fire rescue on the National Disaster Prevention Day. It mobilized 1,300 people among 19 counties, 13 central government offices, five major telecom companies and several NGOs, 174 vehicles, a C-130 Hercules and a helicopter. Through the drill, Taiwan’s capabilities of disaster relief have been fully tested. President Tsai Ing-wen also praised the effectiveness of this drill when she showed up to supervise. She thanked all the rescue staff for their contribution and hard work in protecting our people’s lives.
