Brief Discussion of the Safety of Using Gas Heaters

燃氣熱水器依使用瓦斯之種類分為天然氣型及液化石油氣

型，依裝置位置需求之不同而分為屋內式（開放式、半密

閉強制排氣式及強制供排氣式）及屋外式，選用時應依照
使用處所之特性及瓦斯種類選擇適當之燃氣熱水器。然

而，因燃氣熱水器使用不當而肇災之案例仍偶有聞之，因

此本文由探討燃氣熱水器之使用不當而釀災之案例並提出
防範對策，期能降低類似案件之發生。

Gas Heaters can be heated by burning natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas. The
difference of the installation site, according to different needs, divides the gas heaters
into the indoor (open, FE (Forced Exhaust) and FF (Forced Draught Balanced Flue)
and RF (Roof Top Flue). When choosing, one should choose an appropriate gas heater
based on where it should be installed and which kind of gas it would be used. However,
accidents resulting from inappropriate use of gas heaters broke out from time to time.
Hence, this paper is aimed to discuss the accidents resulting from inappropriate use
of gas heaters and come up with prevention methods, hoping to reduce such accident
occurrence.
