The 2022 National Disaster Preparedness Day has kicked off with a bang! A press conference
marking the opening of the series of events organized in conjunction with the 2022 National
Disaster Preparedness Day was held on the morning of August 31, at the National Fire Agency
(NFA), Ministry of the Interior. The Guest-of-Honor for the event was Minister of the Interior Hsu
Kuo-yung. Among other esteemed guests were NFA Director-General Hsiao Huan-chang, Director
General of the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering Chou Chung-che, Director
of the Office of Disaster Management Wu Wu-tai, and National Applied Research Laboratories
Vice President Lin Bou-wen, who collaborated with NFA in various industry, government and
academia projects. NFA was honored to have them present at the signing of the Agreement on
Collaborative Disaster Prevention.
