Intelligent Nexus for Emergency Medical One-Stop Emergency Management is a platform that makes use of smart
technology to integrate resources from three different government agencies, namely the Ministry of Health and
Welfare (MOHW), the National Fire Agency (NFA), and the National Science and Technology Center for Disaster
Reduction (NCDR) with the goal of realizing a patient-centric approach to emergency response. The four emergency
situations covered in this program have been determined based on the classification recommended by MOHW,
covering Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA), acute ischemic stroke, acute coronary syndrome, and major
trauma. Patients with these conditions will be given priority in both the administration of pre-hospital care and the
provision of medical information in hospital for a better prognosis and golden hour. It is hoped that the information
exchange platform can alleviate information-sharing problems faced by resource-strapped counties and cities that
have yet to digitalize emergency records. Hence, the platform will value-add to the medical services provided in
these counties and cities, which will, in the long term, provide a stronger and more comprehensive safeguard for the
health and lives of their residents.
