When does a gas turn into a liquid? In 1908, Heike Kamerlingh Onnes, Dutch physicist of cryogenics,
contributed new data to the scientific world by successfully solidifying helium gas to liquid form through
a change in temperature.
Let’s zoom out a bit and take a look at the pressure vessel market of the modern world. When the
external circumstances and conditions alter, the mass of the substances in the containers will also
change. A pressure storage tank can cause public hazards when it has a slight flaw and should be
dealt with carefully. Tanks are containers that hold massive public hazardous materials. It will not
be easy to make any adjustments after the structure of the tank is finalized. Therefore, to ensure
longer operation and public safety, the National Fire Agency (NFA) of the Ministry of the Interior
(MOI) has formulated an inspection mechanism deployed right before the completion of tank
construction in the Public Hazardous Materials Safety Management System. The practice will
conduct well-rounded examinations on the tank structure in the first place when it is designed by
confirming every detail and ensuring safety.
