Radio communication is the main means of disaster relief
communication for firefighters, and the effectiveness of that
communication is crucial to the provision and judgment of
information about disaster relief. Since 1998, the Fire Department
of the New Taipei City has started to build DMR (Digital Mobile
Radio) communication systems and has been proposing solutions
to enhancing the effectiveness of disaster relief, including real-
time station monitoring, bidirectional microwave ring network,
frequency reorganization, signal voting, and the development of
wireless digital integration systems.
