Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG, i.e., bottled gas) is widely used in Taiwan. It is a daily
necessity which can be easily seen in restaurants, snack bars and ordinary households
in our country. However, ifLPG is used carelessly, serious disasters may occur. This
article will analyze the LPG accidents that have occurred in recent years, and discuss the
human factors responsible for them, in order to fully implement the safety management
of LPG as well as the safety technician training, develop strategy for LPG disaster
prevention, and enhance the overall LPG safety in Taiwan.
