EMS ASIA 2013 was held by Asian EMS Council and its cooperation partner-
Singapore Emergency Medical Service Council- at Khoo Tech Paut Hospital,
Singapore. Research themes were focused on EMS-related issues, including upgrading
the proportion and quality of Bystander CPR by dispatch assistance.
An EMS Dispatch Course was arranged the day after the conference to educate
and train dispatch staff and rescue quality management staff to upgrade OHCA
awareness and Bystander CPR by dispatch assistance to improve OHCA survival rate.
Hence, the bureau sent the staff in Emergency and Rescue Command Center to attend
the conference to learn experience of counterparts from different countries to upgrade
Emergency and Rescue Command Center§s ability to handle OHCA-which was
closely connected to the first ring of life chain-calling 119 for help as soon as possible.
