Due to booming travel industry, hotels, B&B and restaurants are mushrooming
in the mountain areas. Because they are situated in high mountains and most
are made of wood, should any fire accident happen, it could lead to casualty and
property loss. Besides, hotel owners, in order to upgrade its quality to attract
customers, would install different kinds of advanced electric appliances in the
rooms in an un-interrupt power situation, which would trigger fire accidents easily.
Especially, in a high-altitude environment with much humidity, electric appliances
would usually break down. This paper aims to discuss a fire in a wood cabin caused
by a short circuit due to dust accumulation in a TV set socket as a reference to
prevent any electric fire from happening.
